David Seavey
Chef Dave Seavey is a rare commodity. Not many Floridians can say they are true natives. Born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Chef Dave is an integral part of this community. With the wealth of changes that have besieged Jacksonville, some things stand the test of time. Those being great restaurants, great people, and a great sense of community. Chef Dave embodies all three. Loved by everyone, Chef Dave has made a name for himself in the Jacksonville area. Starting from humble beginnings, his drive, ambition and determination make him one of the premier chefs in Northeast Florida. Chef Dave studied under renowned Chef Tony Pels, who he credits as his mentor and inspirations in achieving his culinary dream. Under his guidance, Chef Dave worked for fifteen years at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort and Spa. Among his many other achievements, Chef Dave is accredited with opening The Augustine Grille, the exclusive fine dining restaurant inside The Sawgrass Marriott Resort and Spa. Chef Dave's passion and desire catapulted him to the ranks of Executive Chef at The Sawgrass Marriott's Beach Club Resort and Spa, where he worked for five years. Due to his culinary talents, Chef Dave was personally recruited to head up the opening of North Beach Bistro as Executive Chef. Chef Dave conquered this challenge with the same veracity and determination he puts into all his ventures making North Beach Bistro one of the best restaurants in Jacksonville.
